Job Summary : The Systems and Technology Administrator manages district student and staff devices through Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems, supports database programs for student records and operations, and develops step sheets and professional training. They oversee core server operations, ensure data security, and guide technological implementations for district systems, including application creation and maintenance. Responsibilities also include managing boardroom technology, facilitating meetings, liaising with visitors and district leaders, delivering presentations, and monitoring district devices and licenses to optimize user support services.
Starting Hourly Rate : Grade 7 : $78,172.22 - $109,792.18 DOE
Work Day : 8 hours per day
Work Year : 12 months
Bargaining Unit : Non-Represented
Job Qualifications / Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position) :
The following are required :
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a computer-related field or four (4) years of practical work experience may be substituted for a degree or industry-recognized certifications in a computer-related field.
- Must have at least 1 year of leadership experience.
- Must have at least 2 years of Technology Help Desk experience.
- Knowledge of relational database and query language use. Functional and administrative understanding of Windows, Mac OS, and Linux / Unix operating systems.
- Must work well with end-users to determine needed requirements, respond to questions and issues, and promote high customer satisfaction.
- Must be comfortable with training adults in technology tools and concepts.
- Must hold and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver's license and the ability to receive and maintain access to military bases.
- Must be able to provide their own transportation to perform school visits.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends.
