Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Bartender and/or Server who is excited to work in a new and developing Craft Cocktail Bar and Restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning, growing, and an understanding of the food and beverage industry. In the role of a mixed Bartender/Server, you will be responsible for creating and serving a variety of beverages while providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. We are a bar and restaurant that is attached to an established resort with a history of catering events that we plan to continue. Applicants will need to be flexible to the various styles of service that his position will require.
This is a year-round position and we are looking for both part and full-time employees
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and stocked
- Engage with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction with their experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through the POS system
- Collaborate with bar staff to create rotating seasonal menu items and specials
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages during events, such as weddings and corporate retreats
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain bar operations
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible serving practices
Skills
- Proven experience bartending, serving, or related roles within the food industry is preferred
- Hospitality skills with a focus on customer service
- Desire to learn drink mixing is a must, existing knowledge is a plus
- Experience with cash handling
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in high-pressure environments such as busy weekend nights and event rental settings
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
