Nestled in the scenic Village of Finesville, Alba Vineyard is a 50-acre estate situated in New Jersey's Warren Hills AVA. Established in 1982, we are dedicated to sustainably farming estate-quality grapes and crafting them into premium wines of exceptional value. Our commitment to minimal-impact, renewable viticulture reflects our passion for excellence and respect for the environment.
About the Role:
As our Head Chef, you’ll bring your creativity, leadership, and culinary expertise to the heart of our winery. This role is the perfect blend of artistry and entrepreneurship, allowing you to:
- Curate Seasonal Menus: Craft innovative, locally inspired dishes that pair perfectly with our wines.
- Lead Your Team: Recruit, hire, and manage a dedicated kitchen staff.
- Oversee the Chef’s Garden: Cultivate and maintain our on-site garden, incorporating fresh, homegrown ingredients into your menu.
- Operate Our Outdoor Kitchen: Deliver exceptional culinary service Friday through Sunday during our busy season (April–November).
- Winter Flexibility: Enjoy time off during the quieter winter months to recharge and refine your craft.
Work Schedule:
- Service Hours: Friday & Saturday: Noon–8 PM | Sunday: Noon–5 PM
- Flexible days off Monday–Wednesday.
What We’re Looking For:
- A deep passion for food, wine, and creating unique guest experiences.
- Proven leadership skills and experience running a kitchen.
- A talent for seasonal, locally sourced cuisine and sustainable practices.
- Strong organizational abilities to balance menu planning, team management, and garden oversight.
- Maintain high standards for food, service, health and safety.
- Ensure the efficient and profitable business performance of the operation through effective optimal utilization of staff and resources.
