UNDERSTANDING
This person is a critical member of the sales team who is responsible for managing all aspects of the business for both new and existing accounts in their assigned territory. They guide their customers using the core principles of ACG. They are proactive and hold themselves accountable. They build strong relationships with customers and support internal departments through collaboration, comprise, and understanding how they can help achieve common goals.
This person is the primary contact for customers and a conduit to ACG that ensures the customer’s voice is always heard at ACG. This person communicates sales gaps and offers guidance to management to eliminate these gaps. They use technology, training, and tools to reach sales and profitability goals. They utilize data and proactively look for trends to identify issues. They make decisions based on facts gathered from reliable sources.

WORKING RELATIONSHIP
- Reports to the Distribution Sales Manager
- Communicates regularly with team members in Sales and Customer Service
- Works closely with Marketing, Accounting, Claims, Q/A and other departments to meet the needs of customers
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage existing business and develop new sales with active customers through existing categories and category voids.
- Maintain records for current and prospective customers in assigned territories.
- Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and objectives.
- Present programs and sales opportunities to customers that meet company assigned goals and objectives.
- Present new manufactured and distributed items to current and prospective customers.
- Follow up on sales calls, sample requests, and customer inquiries.
- Assist with forecasting for current and prospective customers.
- Communicate any changes in financial health of customer(s) to the accounting team to investigate.
- Assist with mediating customer complaints/issues.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of professional experience in sales or customer service Outside sales experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of candy industry and candy distribution preferred
- Ability to travel up to 30% (Domestic, overnight)
- Flexible hours – sales is not a 9 to 5 job
- Able to attend trade shows and events (overnight, multiple days)
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Impeccable organizational and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or a G.D. required, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience a plus
