5th Grade Classroom Teacher

Albany Christian School is a looking for an individual who loves Jesus, loves students, loves teaching, and loves to teach students about Jesus. We are looking for the right person to fill a 5th Grade teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.

This classroom teacher is an integral part of a well-functioning team. We are looking for a spiritually mature Christian with strong classroom management skills, with positive and strong communication skills, multi-tasking abilities, who is professional in and out of the classroom, and who possess creativity in lesson planning and teaching to multiple types of learners. This person must be able to work well on a team and alone.

The ideal applicant will have at least a B.S. or B.A. with an emphasis in Education and a current teaching certificate, preferably through the State of Oregon. However, applications will be considered on an individual basis, and we will consider applicants with an aptitude for teaching with or without classroom teaching experience and who are not yet certified.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
• Current State of Oregon Teaching License
• Agreement to statement of faith
• Must participate in a local church

• Spiritual Leadership by being a Christian witness and role model to students, helping them grow in their faith and their realization of self-worth in Christ.
• Academic Leadership through knowledge of the school’s curriculum, standards, and mission.
• Administrative Leadership to help accomplish the goals and objectives assigned by the school administration and school policy.
