Position Summary:
Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS), a private institution with a 140 year tradition located in Albany, NY, is seeking applications for a part-time faculty member in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, which serves the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Qualified applicants should have a PharmD and prior teaching experience. The faculty member will participate in teaching activities in the pharmacy program. The specific courses include the Fall PSL531 and Spring IPS502, PTP520 and Summer PTP520. In addition, the faculty member will participate in the experiential learning program for pharmacy at the clinical site and be assigned students as appropriate. The faculty member will perform service for ACPHS with 1 committee membership, student advising and assist in student enrollment activities available. A commitment to excellence in teaching and student development is essential, as are excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Participation in the service missions of the College is also expected.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaching and developing course materials for PSL and PTP
- Advising and mentoring students
- Participating in departmental meetings and activities
- Engaging in scholarly activities as appropriate for a part-time position
- Participating in relevant committee work
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
- NYS Licensed Pharmacist
- Completion of PGY1 residency, preferred
- Prior teaching experience, preferred
Physical Demands

Additional Information
This position is based in Albany, NY. The duties and responsibilities of this particular role require the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or interaction with our community, requiring all work to be performed full-time on-site. Standard work hours are from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Additional details pertaining to this position will be discussed during the interview process.
