What are the responsibilities and job description for the Golf Course Grounds Crew position at Albany Country Club Grounds?

The Grounds Crew at Albany Country Club is now hiring for the 2025 golf season. These seasonal positions will begin in April and continue through November based on the weather. This is an early morning landscaping job with full-time hours.
Successful Candidates:
· Will have a willingness to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
· Are dependable and punctual, as work will start early. Normal shifts will be 6am - 2:30pm on Tuesdays - Fridays, 5:30am-9am on Saturdays & Sundays
· Have dependable transportation as ACC is not on the bus line.
· Are over the age of 18, and able to handle the physical demands of the job. This includes: standing, walking, bending, lifting 50lbs, sitting, and maintaining focus for up to 5 hours at a time.
· Will have a willingness to learn and abide by proper golf course etiquette and prioritize member and guest golf course experience second only to safety.
· Are willing and able to both learn and complete task the right way with a strong attention to detail.
· Have a good outlook about work and do not negatively affect the team attitude.
· Are willing to work in different weather conditions (Sun, Heat, Rain, Cold, Humidity).
· Are able to both work productively alone without supervision, and cooperatively as part of a team.
· Do NOT need prior experience as we are happy to train motivated individuals.
Job Duties:
· Use of heavy motorized equipment and/or hand tools
· Mow and trim grass at different heights
· Maintain sand bunkers
· Manage debris such as leaves, sticks, and clippings
· Setup golf course for daily play
· Maintain cart paths, walk paths, and parking lots
· General tree work such as pruning and removal
· Weeding, mulching, and maintaining flower beds
