Albany Health and Rehabilitation Center seeks dedicated QMAs to foster meaningful relationships with our residents in a 102-bed skilled nursing home and a 20-bed Alzheimer unit. Our commitment is to delivering the highest quality care to the residents of our community.

Responsibilities:
The QMA is responsible for providing medication administration, daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort to our residents. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering and documenting oral medications, eye medications, topical medications, suppository medications, ear drops, and other ordered medications by physicians
- Performing treatments on minor skin conditions per physician orders
- Maintaining locked medication carts and medication keys according to facility policy
- Checking catheters frequently and providing catheter care as assigned by nurses
- Documenting all medications and treatments given in the medication record and nurse's notes according to policy
- Maintaining the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure residents' rights and privacy are protected at all times
- Performing other duties as assigned by staff nurses or designees
Qualifications:
- Must be certified by the State Department of Health as a CNA in good standing
- Must have completed a state-approved training program in medication administration and have current QMA certification by the State Department of Health
- Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe, effective nursing practices within the State of employment
- A high school diploma or GED
