Job Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager role in Elective Orthopedics at Albany Medical Center involves coordination, planning, and administrative management. Main Responsibilities
- Mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care
- Facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay
- Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on assigned shifts
- Support the development and implementation of policies, programs, and services
- Collaborate with other service and department leaders toward attainment of short- and long-term goals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required
- Minimum of 2 years experience in clinical or operational leadership role
