Albany Medical Center is seeking a skilled Assistant Nurse Manager to join its Elective Orthopedics team. This leadership role involves coordinating, planning, and managing administrative duties in collaboration with the Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Vice President of Specialty Nursing.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to mentor professional caregivers and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.
This role requires the Assistant Nurse Manager to be visible and provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work. They will assure that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in various settings.
The successful candidate will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
