UTILITY DATA ANALYST
Position Summary: The Utility Data Analyst is responsible for the maintenance and management of organizational data assets, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of records across various systems, including asset management, geographic information systems (GIS), SCADA, and customer information systems (CIS). This role involves analyzing data related to equipment, repair histories, work activities, preventive maintenance schedules, facility logs, and material usage. The Utility Data Analyst works closely with process owners and end users to document and improve business processes, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the development of performance indicators and service levels. Additionally, the role includes the creation of reporting tools and data analysis to meet the informational needs of ACSA's management.
Duties Include: Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to maintenance policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency; interpret and analyze complex data sets to prepare comprehensive reports on work histories, labor hours, and material costs, ensuring accuracy and relevance; assess performance against established goals and budgets (by group, individual, and activity), identifying potential issues and evaluating alternative solutions, while providing recommendations to management for resolution; identify data needs and gaps related to operations, maintenance, and assets, developing and implementing strategies to address these gaps and enhance data quality; facilitate process improvements across departments by fostering collaboration between inter- and intra-departmental teams, promoting effective operational practices and continuous improvement; develop various reporting tools, improvement metrics, and key project artifacts, and all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in a relevant discipline and 1 years of professional work experience preferred, or a combination of both experience and education; Virginia Driver's License required; Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio; Experience with Cityworks or similar work order management system, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, CIS systems, developing training materials and conducting training sessions; Experience with PowerBi or similar analysis tools, reporting tools, relational database design, and Structured Query Language (SQL) strongly desired.
Hiring Range $63,083 - $75,699
