Data Analyst

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Virginia is seeking a Data Analyst to support clinical research, particularly in advanced neuromonitoring in brain injuries and stroke. This role is pivotal in our analysis of large time-series data critical for understanding brain function and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high quality data is collected for analysis and continually verify integrity of the data.

• Identify errors and help develop process improvements.

• Perform analysis of information and identify , interpret, and report the trends or patterns found in data sets. Develop recommendations based on findings.

• Synthesize data analysis by creating graphs, reports, and presentations of results in order to make strategic and programmatic decisions.

• Develop content for seminars, forums, and presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree

• Experience: Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in biomedical engineering or related field

• Experience with waveform level data analytics

• Familiarity with Matlab, Python or other similar languages

• Data cleaning, alignment, and processing capabilities

This position is Hybrid located in Charlottesville, VA .

This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. Anticipated Hiring Range: $40,000 - $50,000 commensurate with education and experience.
