Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately while providing friendly service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist customers with their orders, offering recommendations and answering questions about menu items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Manage inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, notifying management when restocking is needed.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for order processing and cash handling tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or café environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Familiarity with cash registers and retail math skills for accurate cash handling.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a busy setting.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
