What you will be doing
The position will be based in Irvine CA.
Main responsibilities
The System Engineer is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of robotic material handling system. The System Engineer drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality, safety, and system performance.
- Monitor health of the automated adapters, vertical lifts, and automated robotic vehicles.
- Responsible for the troubleshooting of advanced system and operational issues.
- Ability to step in and effectively backfill key on-site roles
- Participate in the initiatives for continuous improvement, standardization, and improvement of the warehouse automation solution, in a context of change focused on production.
- Communicating technical concepts accurately and concisely to site teams.
- Document and report issues to engineering teams and work with them on a solution.
- Train and assist operators on overall systems including automated adapters, vertical lifts, automated robotic vehicles, warehouse management systems, and other IT problems.
- Partner closely with operations and other departments.
- Assist in escalation as required to support teams to solve production impacting problems.
- Ensure that the safety compliance is within OSHA guidelines.
The salary range is $92,000 to $120,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
