Job Title: System Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure services such as virtual networks, virtual machines, storage accounts, and network security groups.
- Administer VMware vSphere environments, including VMware ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machine provisioning.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize hybrid cloud solutions involving both Azure and VMware environments.
- Implement best practices for performance tuning, availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for both Azure and VMware infrastructure.
- Manage backups, security updates, patch management, and automation for Azure and VMware environments.
- Set up and manage Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and other disaster recovery solutions.
- Monitor the performance of cloud resources and VMware infrastructure, diagnosing and resolving any issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Assist with the migration of workloads from on-premises VMware environments to Azure, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage, and security services.
- Expertise in VMware vSphere environments (vCenter, ESXi, VM creation, networking, and storage management).
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud architecture and migrating on-premise VMware workloads to Azure.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery, Azure Backup, and disaster recovery planning.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and tools such as ARM Templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Solid understanding of network configurations, including load balancing, VPNs, and security measures (firewalls, NSGs).
Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,0000- $120,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Position Information
This position is eligible for commissions in accordance with the terms of the Company’s plan. Commissions for this position are estimated to be based on individual performance. Additionally, this role is also eligible for a bonus based on the achievement of mutually agreed KRAs.
