Description
The History Department at Albion College invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Asian history to begin August 2025. The teaching load is 3/3. In the fall, the courses would include two sections of a survey titled East Asia: Culture and Civilization as well as one upper-level course on World War II and the Pacific. The three spring courses are open to the appointee's preferences in consultation with the department. Candidates should ideally have completed PhDs, though advanced ABDs will also be considered. We seek applicants with a passion for teaching, the liberal arts, and a diverse student population. Albion is dedicated to the highest quality in undergraduate education led by our teacher-scholar faculty. - Ph.D. in related field by start of the position or advanced ABD will be considered
- Teaching experience preferred
