What are the responsibilities and job description for the Enrollment Counselor position at Albright College?
Albright College is seeking applications for Enrollment Counselor. This full-time position, reporting to the Director of Admission is responsible for a full range of recruitment/ territory management activities in support of the Admission office. Candidates should value and recognize the transformative power of higher education and be able to passionately articulate the same to prospective undergraduate and graduate students, and adult degree and continuing education seekers.
Tasks include counseling/engaging students (and families), occasional travel, reading of applications and outreach via email/phone call/texts. The team member will be assigned a student population and have the autonomy to manage to generate applications and future students. Successful job searchers must be excellent communicators with a great sense of humor and compassion, confident, mature, independent thinkers who can work well within a group and independently. Preference given to candidates with experience in institutions similar to Albright College and comfort with Outlook Suite and technology.

Qualifications/Prerequisites:
COMMUNICATION:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to converse, interact with different populations of students, including adult learners.

Strong attention to detail and proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
Self-starter with ability to be flexible and appropriately address constituents needs

Effectively perform work responsibilities in an unsupervised, in a self-directed manner.

Familiarity with the Microsoft Office platform and ease in using new technologies.
Maintains confidentiality with respect to files, correspondence, reports and other information.
Knowledgeable of or willingness to learn the admission and financial aid process and timelines.
Experience with virtual platforms – Zooms, Microsoft Teams, video chatting, etc.
Fluency in Spanish, preferred

Bachelor’s degree expected
