Salary : $18.27-$18.75 hourly
Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness. AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness. Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness. We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.
We are looking for a Part-time (20 hours per week) Studio Assistant to work in our ArtStreet program. The Studio Assistant assists in day-to-day maintenance and operation of the AHCH open art studio and community based ArtStreet related projects including installation of client art exhibitions and sales of participant art at off-campus locations. This position also maintains cleanliness of the art studio, conducts outreach about AHCH programs and services to the community, serves as a welcoming presence to all people on the AHCH campus and outreach, and conducts appropriate training on the use of ArtStreet supplies / equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Engage with clients and other participants in ArtStreet program through art and art making
- Build rapport with clients and proactively communicate behavioral expectations for a safe,
healthy studio and campus environment
