Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Membership Engagement Specialist to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
The Membership Engagement Specialist is an Outside Sales Position and is responsible for selling memberships to prospective non-member businesses by personally identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding potential members and communicating the benefits of Chamber membership. This position will provide direct, one-on-one, sales and navigation services to Hispano Chamber’s members, small businesses, and corporations in specific business areas.
The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic resource for our members, helping identify opportunities and services for them to use for their business and thereby driving the perceived and realized value of membership.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to sell membership to prospective non-member businesses with a goal of generating new sales and meeting montlhy sales targets. The majority of your work will be done outside of the Chamber office as you reach out to and meet prospective members to achieve your sales goals. Specifically you will be responsible to
- Identify and pursue new sales leads through cold calling, door knocking and networking.
- Conducting thorough market analysis to understand customer needs and identify potential opportunities.
- Deliver engaging service demonstrations to showcase the benefits and features of our offerings.
- Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring member satisfaction throughout.
- Upsell additionalsponsorships or services to existing clients to maximize revenue potential.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to develop strategies for achieving sales targets.
- Engage with current members, provide customer service, and maintain existing member relationships.
- Provide direct, one-on-one navigation services to Hispano Chamber’s members, small businesses and corporations in specific business areas.
- Develop excellent knowledge of Chamber features and Member benefits to communicate with new members and address their needs and objectives.
- Cultivate member relationships to help build the strongest possible foundation for their business, enhance their capacity and develop a strategic approach to reach their full potential, and achieve profitable growth.
- Implement member on-boarding process including training and relaying relevant membership information to members.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, training, and coaching sessions as scheduled.
- Update sales and renewal pipelines daily and weekly in reports to Chief Experience Officer.
- Regularly update membership database with pertinent data relative to all communications with members.
- Plan and execute the Hispano Chamber’s Member events including new member orientations, new member breakfasts, member luncheons, and afterhours networking events as scheduled
Qualifications
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in a B2B environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions and customer needs effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients.
- Experience in technical sales is a plus, with a solid understanding of product features and benefits.
- Demonstrated ability in lead generation and managing the sales cycle from start to finish.
- Familiarity with upselling techniques and strategies for increasing customer engagement.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for achieving sales goals.
