Job Description
Delivers, picks up and processes interoffice/USPS mail at all APS locations.
Essential Functions
Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation
- Receives, transports, and delivers mail/materials daily on an established route throughout the District.
- Assists mail supervisor in processing and transporting all bulk mailings of U.S. mail as required.
- Acts as a customer service representative of Graphics Production and District Services, answering questions about mail and various department services and other customer issues.
- Sorts mail daily.
- Assists mail supervisor in processing sensitive materials and delivers them in a timely manner to designated sites throughout the District.
- Verifies items, packages/certified mail have been delivered and obtains signatures of school/administration site representatives, verifying receipt/noting discrepancies on any delivery documents.
- Delivers postage stamps to schools as required.
- Delivers secured documents and materials to District locations as required.
- Delivers and picks up at vendors' sites as required.
- Maintains all logs and paperwork as required by supervisor.
- Handles all UPS packages incoming and outgoing and maintains records as required.
- Ensures preventative maintenance and corrective repairs are made to vehicles as required.
- Observes all safety and traffic regulations, shows courtesy to other drivers, and reports accidents immediately.
- Assists in other department areas as needed and authorized by supervisor.
- Delivers small daily cash deposits as assigned
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility, organization, decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft programs.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid New Mexico Driver's License with insurable driving record and no DUIs.
- Two years' delivery/mail experience or shipping and receiving experience.
