POSITION TITLE:
TECHNICIAN: ALARM
JOB DESCRIPTION:
To maintain, service, and repair the district's cameras.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Configures login for law enforcement, APS Dispatch, Detectives, School site staff members
- Replaces, repair, upgrade, installs on system failure
- Maintains monitors for upgrades, installs, repairs
- Replace or repair camera modules
- Clean exterior camera lens cover and mount
- Archive pertinent video and maintain video on the APS core
- Assist officers and principals on how to identify needed video
- Assist the Evidence Technician with video formatting
- Assist APS Police officers with hardware and software issues
- Access Control- Assist principals at Control Access Control Points with configuration needs
- District Alarm Panel- Program navigation screen as needed
- Camera mounting box installs
- Makes BNC, and RG59 Cabling
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of APS Police ten code
- Knowledge of APS site locations
- Knowledge of APS alarm systems
- Experience with Active Directory
- Knowledge of APS locations, computer systems, and community
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid New Mexico driver’s license with insurable driving record.
- Three years experience in a computer related field.
