ALTA IT Services, a System One company providing staffing services throughout the US has a direct hire hourly opening for a Fire Alarm Service Technician to support a leading fire suppression installation and service provider based in Albuquerque, NM.
This position requires daily and overnight travel to customer sites throughout New Mexico and far western Texas. A company vehicle will be provided, as well as paid expenses.
The Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.

US Citizenship is required for customer site authorization. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug test.
HOURLY RATE: Starting around $20/hr. to $22/hr. increasing with certifications and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for testing fire alarm and Clean Agent Suppression system including initiating devices, notification appliances, and control panels.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and repair of troubleshooting and repair of fire alarm and Clean Agent suppression systems.
- Responsible for creating reports for testing and services
- Inspect and repair heat detectors and sprinkler heads.
- Review electrical layout blueprints
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience installing and/or servicing fire alarm systems
- NICET certification (Fire Alarm or Special Hazards) OR Low Voltage Journeyman’s license required
- Basic and advanced math skills required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Texas Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazards certification a plus
- Mechanical aptitude preferred
