What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Systems Lead Technician position at NEW MEXICO FIRE PROTECTION LLC?
Dynamic small family business hiring immediately for an experienced low voltage electrician, possessing at minimum a New Mexico ES-03 or equivalent. NICET certifications or other fire protection discipline licensing a plus. After training, this position will be supervisory and the lead on fire alarm installations, camera system installations, and trouble-shooting and service calls. Willingness to cross-train on fire sprinkler work, and fire extinguishers is necessary as we are a full service company licensed in all fire protection areas.
Summary
In the role of Lead Fire Alarm Technician-Supervisor, you will oversee the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with IBC, NFPA, and local AHJ safety regulations and standards. Reporting to the owners, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and electrical experience to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Your expertise in low voltage systems, schematics, and hand tools will be essential in guiding your team. Additionally, your skills in blueprint reading and system design will enhance project execution, while your understanding of fire alarm sales will support business growth.
