With a strong emphasis on international founders, this role is all about bringing the Alchemist network together and cultivating a vibrant, supportive community.
You'll have a sharp eye for detail, a flair for creative experiences, and a passion for creating events that are not only seamless—but unforgettable. Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
- Design Best-in-Class EventsDevelop compelling event concepts that create real value for founders, investors, and innovation leaders—focused on connection, learning, and opportunity.
- Ongoing Planning: Build a strategic calendar of events aligned with programs objectives and internal stakeholder needs.
- Speaker & Guest RecruitmentIdentify, recruit, and prepare high-impact speakers, panelists, and guests who inspire and elevate the experience for attendees.
- End-to-End Event Management: Own all aspects of event execution—from logistics and operations to post-event follow-up. Ensure a seamless experience for the attendees.
- Team Coordination: Lead and support a team of internal collaborators and volunteer event coordinators to ensure consistent quality across all touchpoints.
- Budget Oversight: Manage event budgets, source vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality.
- Curated Audience Development: Define and attract target audiences for each event through tailored outreach, partnerships, and marketing campaigns.
- Promotion Strategy: Collaborate on promotional plans including email campaigns, social media, event pages, and community platforms to drive registrations and engagement.
- Post-Event Analytics: Measure event performance, gather attendee feedback, and analyze data to continuously improve future events.
- Ecosystem Engagement: Cultivate relationships with founders, investors, corporate partners, and ecosystem stakeholders—particularly in Silicon Valley.
- Community Experience: Ensure Alchemist community members feel connected, supported, and valued through intentional event design and engagement strategies.
- List Growth & Data Quality: Maintain and grow a curated network of community contacts, ensuring high data quality and relevance.
- Tooling & TrackingSelect and implement tools to track event metrics, manage the attendee lifecycle, and support community growth through automation and insights.
- 3 years of experience planning and executing high-quality events, both virtual and in-person, with a strong track record of operational excellence.
- Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, with the ability to attend and host in-person events as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to engage diverse, multicultural audiences, with sensitivity to international norms, cross-cultural communication, and global startup ecosystems.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of coordinating multiple stakeholders, timelines, and logistics with precision.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including speaker outreach, audience engagement, and collaboration with global partners.
- Experience in event marketing, including developing promotional strategies, creating outreach content, and driving targeted attendance through email and digital channels.
- Passion for startups and innovation, with a people-first mindset and a genuine desire to support founders and create meaningful, inclusive experiences.
