POSITION SUMMARY :
The Manufacturing Plant Controller is responsible for managing the financial operations of the manufacturing plant. This role involves overseeing budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, working capital performance and compliance to ensure the plant’s financial health and alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant leadership to drive cost efficiencies, ensure accurate financial records, and provide strategic financial insights.
FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Financial Planning & Reporting :
Develop and manage the plant’s annual budget, forecasts, and financial plans
Assist in the implementation of cost accounting
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies, and internal controls
Monitor inventory levels as well as those activities driving inventory levels as well as maintain accurate records of materials and finished goods
Identify and help drive working capital improvements
Partner with plant managers and department heads to provide financial guidance and strategic recommendations
Evaluate and improve financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency.
While this role will be resident at a plant, the plant controller will participate in and possibly lead company-wide finance process improvement initiatives
Leverage ERP and financial systems (e.g., Genius) for accurate data management and reporting.

REPORTS TO : Chief Finance Officer
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS : This job operates in an office environment and is largely sedentary. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
