Responsibilities
As a Controller, you will be entrusted with a wide array of responsibilities that are critical to the financial success of our company. Your duties will include
- Overseeing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures.
- Supervising and managing the financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
- Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports and statements, including monthly and year-end closings, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and budgeting.
- Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Analyzing and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Collaborating with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
The ideal candidate for the Controller position will have a strong background in finance. The qualifications include
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven knowledge and experience in financial reporting, cost accounting, and GL journal entries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial managers.
- Proficiency in using financial software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills, with the ability to make sound financial decisions.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
- High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
