As a Sr Manager, Equipment and Controls leading Engineering support for production, you will be trusted to support, improve, design, develop, and implement new or revised production processes for the efficient/economical mass production of goods at our Manufacturing Facility in Johns Creek, GA!
In this role, a typical day will include:
- To strategize, plan and manage, operating budget, CAPEX (Capital) and KPIs.
- To provide strategic direction from engineering and technical perspective on the growth plan of organization and spearheading in New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or new technology transfer initiative.
- To initiate improvement plan to help to achieve business objectives and cultivate the Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset in the team to drive improvement projects to meet/exceed quality, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), productivity and cost targets.
- Actively involves in team engagement by providing coaching and guidance to help overcome obstacles. Develop comprehensive career development plan and retention strategies for the team.
- To promote teamwork / collaboration, drive innovation and lead team to achieve business goals.
- Pro-actively engage and coordinate with other manufacturing sites and division functions (e.g. MTO divisions, Global Engineering, Regulatory Affairs) to ensure consistency and standard practice within the same technology platform.
- Designing the sequence of production operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable tools and equipment, and adapting machinery in response to factory conditions.
- Conducting tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and troubleshooting/solving production problems.
- Providing guidance to equipment/ process design engineering on technical specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensuring that production processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 15 yrs; Assoc. 11 yrs; M.S. 4 yrs; PhD 3 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 7 Years of Relevant Experience
- Experience in high volume and highly automated production operations, preferably in the medical devices industry, semiconductor industry, lean six sigma manufacturing.
- In-depth understanding of OEE and the inter-dependencies to drive sustainable production performance and Return-of-Investment (ROI). Proven hands-on experience and record in managing CAPEX (Capital) and departmental budget with strong financial acumen.
- Good understanding of ISO13485, cGMP/GDP & HSE/ISO14001 practices.
- Supervisory, management and leadership skills.
