What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Security Specialist position at Alcorn State University?
We are looking for an Entry Level Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing information and direction to students, faculty, staff, and visitors entering our campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stop and greet every person entering our campus politely
- Request proper identification on everyone entering campus
- Make reports to shift supervisor on security violations
- Report all suspicious activity to the shift supervisor
- Assist with parking enforcement when required
- Assist with traffic control when required
- Provide written reports when required
Requirements:
- Must have at least a high school diploma
- Must have basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Experience in an educational environment would be helpful
