What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Assistant - Therapeutic Program position at Alcott Elementary School?
This special education assistant will work in our therapeutic program for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
Strong candidates will have experience in the following:
- Behavior interventions
- Positive behavior supports
- Deescalation skills
We are looking for a candidate with flexibility, excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple environments with varied staff members.
Safety Care certification is preferred. Education in psychology, special education or a related field is preferred as well.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week. Hours listed below are approximate and may be adjusted by 15 minutes in either direction prior to the start of the school year.
8:30 - 3:30 - M, Tu, Th, F
8:45 - 1:15 - W
Salary: $23.38-$31.00 per hour depending on experience.
