Location:                                           Branch/ Hybrid

Position Type:                                  Part-Time; 10 hours per week

FLSA Classification / Type:            Non-Exempt / Sales Workers

Supervises:                                       None

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Business Development Specialist will successfully cultivate referral partnerships with realtors, builders, and other strategic partners through networking events and face-to-face meetings.  This position will support all business development aspects of The Taylor Division of ALCOVA Mortgage.  The Business Development Specialist is vital to the Company’s strategic plan for continued growth.    

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Act as primary point of contact for any questions regarding the partnership 
  2. Build and maintain relationships with referral partners 
  3. Connect with top-producing realtors and other referral partners for business leads
  4. Coordinate meetings, events, and other opportunities for realtors and Loan Officers to network
  5. Manage marketing campaigns in Total Expert and collaborate with marketing managers to utilize CRM software
  6. Daily calls to realtors and other strategic partners
  7. Must diligently follow-up with all contacts, referral partners, and prospects in an organized manner 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, AND COMPETENCIES

  1. No experience necessary
  2. High school diploma, or equivalent education; college degree preferred
  3. Highly motivated, outgoing, ambitious, and driven to succeed
  4. Must be trustworthy, honest, and able to continuously display a high level of integrity
  1. Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  1. Ability to communicate effectively in an interdepartmental team environment
  2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  3. Ability to analyze and sift through reports and data
  4. Marketing and/or sales background is ideal
  5. Ability to create PowerPoint presentations and deliver them with ease and confidence
  6. Ability to manage a database of contacts
  7. Ability to move relationships from a cold call to hot prospect
  8. Ability to create and manage a consistent flow of marketing information provided by the Corporate Marketing Department
  9. Ability to execute marketing recruiting campaigns in a systematic fashion
  10. Ability to develop and cultivate relationships
  11. Ability to create a recruitment gifting program
  12. Excellent use of various social media platforms such as: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  13. Comfortable making short video clips for social media marketing
  1. Compliance with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws, and Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) requirements is required. Employee must complete annual training in these areas.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

 

This job operates in a clerical office setting; climate-controlled surroundings with adequate lighting and little or moderate noise when in the office.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk and sit. The employee may be frequently required to drive a passenger automobile.  Clerical tasks associated with this role require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.  

 

TRAVEL

 

Moderate travel needed by private vehicle or airline carriers with over-night stays in modern facilities at times.  Regional traffic conditions when traveling by car to-and-from business appointments.   Mileage reimbursement will be provided at current IRS allowable rates.

 

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

 

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
