TITLE: Assistant Volleyball Coach (Middle/High School)
QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous coaching experience preferred

Knowledge of the rules and fundamentals of volleyball

Ability to serve as a positive role model for student-athletes

Excellent communication and organizational skills
REPORTS TO: Head Volleyball Coach, Athletic Director, and Building Principal
JOB GOAL:
To assist the Head Volleyball Coach in providing leadership, supervision, and organization of the volleyball program while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal development of student-athletes.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in planning and leading practices and games under the direction of the Head Coach

Support the academic and personal growth of student-athletes

Help develop player skills, conditioning, and sportsmanship

Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and travel

Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IHSA rules and guidelines
-
Communicate with students, parents, and school personnel as needed

Model and uphold high standards of conduct on and off the court

Assist with equipment management and care

Promote a positive team environment and school spirit

Attend all scheduled games, practices, and team functions
-
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or administration
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Seasonal position; stipend established by the Board of Education.

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with district policy and procedures.
