Alderson Loop is seeking a skilled IT Business Systems Analyst to join a project with an enterprise utility / energy organization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and business acumen to support and maintain critical business applications for Corporate Business Units (CBUs). This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can effectively manage service tickets, provide first-tier support, and collaborate with both IT teams and business users.
Key Responsibilities :
- Act as the primary liaison between CBUs and IT, ensuring clear communication and timely support.
- Provide functional and technical support for key business applications, collaborating with vendors and internal teams.
- Manage and resolve service tickets within SLA agreements, using strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
- Execute SQL scripts for data management, troubleshooting, and reporting.
- Administer and support on-premises Windows servers and RE Linux-based applications.
- Assist with cloud solutions maintenance and migration efforts.
- Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Develop and implement IT solutions that align with business goals and customer needs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project and support documentation, including BRDs and technical specifications.
- Conduct QA testing, including test planning, execution, and oversight, to ensure the quality of deliverables.
- Manage cutover planning and change management activities effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls and manage General Computer Control (GCC) systems.
- Apply advanced analytical skills to break down tasks into manageable units and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Monitor technology trends to ensure applications and solutions remain current and effective.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business and IT objectives.
