This position is part of the Finance & Accounting team located in Fargo, ND and will be on-site. At Aldevron, we combine best-in-class products and service with the ideal operating environment to lay the groundwork for vital new discoveries worldwide. You will be a part of the Accounting team and report to the Sr. Manager of SOX and Compliance responsible for ensuring compliance with SOX for both finance and IT SOX controls.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Collaborate with internal audit, external auditors, and various departments to facilitate the SOX compliance process.
Conduct testing of internal controls to ensure their design and operational effectiveness.
Evaluate the design and effectiveness of internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
Assist in the development and implementation of remediation plans for any identified control deficiencies.
Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure that corrective actions have been taken.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 0 years of experience.
Experience in auditing, accounting, or a related field, with a focus on internal controls and SOX compliance.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., D365)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
