Summary
Performs a broad range of duties related to the coordination and receipt of domestic and international shipments. This will include coordination with small package, common and private carriers, shipping via various modes. Completes required documentation accurately and timely.
Role and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation and processing of all required documents and transaction necessary to receive materials. Transactions may be required on ERP, carrier based and / or manual systems.
- Must use RF devise for proper storage of materials. Must transfer materials to and from bin locations accurately and timely.
- Oversee the small tools Kanban set up with Label department. Ensure that all small tool ordering is completed in time for production use.
- Coordinate delivery with carriers and / or forwarding agents.
- Distributes required documentation to necessary recipients.
- Responsible for investigation of issues related to receipts. This will include immediate resolution of incoming material issues as well as storage, retrieval and analysis of historic receiving transactions and documentation.
- Verify, notify and reroute incoming material, letters / packages, equipment and supplies to appropriate employee / location within the facility.
- Adhere to returned goods procedures, communication the receipt of materials, processing upon approval.
- Ensure all received items match receipt paperwork and match the corresponding purchase order.
- Generate and / or maintain various shipping and receiving reports, as required.
- Maintain Alene standards of performance and comply with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Logistics Supervisor.
