Position Overview:
The National PMO, Sr. Manager is responsible for the coordination of the essential functions that ensure the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our community locations. In collaboration with Regional Directors of Facilities Management and the National Director of Facilities, this role will ensure compliance with life safety systems, including elevators and ADA standards, while updating safety procedures to meet industry regulations.
The role will also play a critical role in the coordination of business continuity planning efforts, developing and managing plans to prepare for potential disruptions, and creating a centralized portal for stakeholder communication.
Additionally, this position will help to maintain the national repair and maintenance budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with organizational goals while overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) for national projects, ensuring they are executed on time and within budget. The role includes collaborating with the Capital team on national contracts, ensuring effective negotiation and management to uphold safety standards.
Work Mode: Newton, MA, hybrid: travel to communities up to 25% of the time.

Life Safety Management:
- In partnership with Regional Directors of Facilities, ensure that community life safety systems, including elevators, ADA compliance, resident call systems, and security measures are in place and operating effectively.
- Ensures that safety procedures are followed and updated regularly to comply with industry standards and regulations.
- In partnership with the National Director, Facilities Management, responsible for the development, tracking, and management of business continuity plans across all regions and community locations.
- Create a Business continuity portal, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and prepared for potential disruptions.
- Manage the national repair and maintenance (R&M) budget, ensuring cost-efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively across projects, ensuring the availability of necessary skills and managing budgets and timelines efficiently.
- Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring projects are completed within the approved financial constraints.
- Lead the PMO for national projects, ensuring projects are executed effectively, on time, and within budget.
- Make strategic decisions regarding project prioritization, resource allocation, and risk management to drive project success.
- Oversee the coordination and execution of national projects, including renovations, maintenance, and other operational initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Procurement team to manage and oversee national contracts related to safety, maintenance, and project management.
- Ensure that contracts are effectively negotiated and managed to support operational needs and safety standards.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all projects comply with regulatory requirements and that risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated.
- KPI Monitoring: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success, PMO efficiency, and alignment with strategic goals, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and achievements to all relevant parties.
- Create and implement a national PMO strategy that aligns with the organization’s long-term objectives, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification required.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in senior living or healthcare environments preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, complex projects successfully.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
