Here's what you'd do:
- In this position, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, issuing, and controlling production schedules.
- You will coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements.
- The ideal candidates will be responsible for releasing work orders, prioritizing, and expediting work through the shop, which will need a lot of coordination and communication with multiple functions.
- The candidate will also be responsible for understanding capacity and will monitor and provide insight into key performance indicators such as on-time starts, aging, or idle work orders.
- Sorts, posts, and files such paperwork as inventory records, production schedules, and other production control data.
- Keeps records of the number of units shipped and the number of jobs in production.
- Statuses and expedites work orders through the manufacturing facility.
- May prepare shop orders indicating style, size, quantity, and priority.
- May review stock records, consumption figures, and detail schedules to determine stock status against program requirements.
- May prepare input forms for the automated data processing system and may operate personal computer equipment.
- Performs other clerical tasks relating to duties.
