OPERATIONS MANAGER
ALARM/CCTV INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
Assist the Branch Manager and perform the Branch Manager's duties when they are unavailable. This position oversees the training and functions of the local Installers and Technicians, ensuring their work is in accordance with relevant codes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Regular and reliable attendance is a requirement.
- Supervise and train Installers and Service Technicians.
- Onboarding of Installers, Service Technicians including the new hire paperwork, and E-Verify.
- Maintain quality control with occasional field inspections.
- Assist when needed with troubleshooting and other field projects.
- Maintain warehouse and vehicle parts inventory; including the first aid kits and the accident reporting book.
- Code equipment invoices for Accounts Payable.
- Exercise managerial judgment calls when needed for service and installation situations.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns/complaints regarding service and/or installation issues.
- Perform the Branch Manager's duties when they are unavailable.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Remains up-to-date with industry licensing and testing requirements.
- Ability to read and understand basic blue prints.
- Ability to inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals in order to determine materials, requirements, and installation procedures.
- Ability to install, maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment following blueprints of electrical layouts and building plans.
- Has general knowledge of basic construction of buildings and homes.
- Knowledge of wide range of alarm panels.
- Analytic ability to diagnose basic problems and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Track VRT.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with peers.
- Must be able to work independently as part of a team.
- Understands and accepts team concept.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess the ability to view and operate computer equipment up to 8 hours daily.
- Work may be performed at client locations often in hot or cold attics.
- Must be able to carry, secure, and store necessary material, tools, and utility ladders.
- Able to stand, squat, kneel, bend, crawl, climb, and sit.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Able to lift 40 lbs.
- Able to climb a ladder.
- Able to work with hands overhead.
- Good eyesight and color perception to work with intricate components used in electronic equipment.
- Stress levels are moderate in regards to work associated with security, safety, and the nature of emergency responders.
- Work shifts as assigned based on operational needs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Individuals must be able to accept supervision and direction from the Branch Manager. Direct reports include: Installers and Technicians.
EDUCATIONAL LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Must have a clean driving record, valid driver license and proof of insurance.
