Role Description
We are looking for a skilled and dependable DMV Tag and Title Clerk to manage tag registrations, title transfers, and other automotive services. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, accurately complete all forms, prepare titles, collect payments, and process documentation related to motor vehicle transactions.
Responsibilities
- Delivering exceptional customer service in-person, over the phone, and via email
- Assisting walk-in clients and scheduling appointments for services
- Issuing auto tags, titles, plates, registration renewals, and handling other customer requests
- Verifying that all required documents are complete and accurate before processing
- Guiding clients through the necessary DMV forms and documentation for vehicle titling, registration, and transfers
- Preparing and notarizing documents while following notarial laws and requirements
- Processing payments and ensuring accurate cash management
- Keeping records updated through data entry and maintaining transaction logs
- Strictly adhering to company policies and DMV and notarial regulations
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of title regulations and procedures is a plus
- Experience with title software systems is a plus
- Prior experience as a tag and title clerk or PennDOT/dmv agent is highly valued
- Active notary commission preferred, but not required
