PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Record Keeping : Accurately enter financial transactions into accounting software or ledgers, ensuring all entries are timely and correctly coded.
Invoice Processing : Process and review incoming invoices, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and properly authorized.
Reconciliation : Assist in monthly and quarterly reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable
Data Entry : Maintain and update accounting records, spreadsheets, and other financial documents.
Filing and Documentation : Organize and maintain physical and digital files related to financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Support Senior Staff : Provide general administrative support to Accounting Manager & Staff Accountant, assisting with financial activities as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's degree in Accounting ( or in process
Attention to Detail : Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors in financial documents.
Organizational Skills : Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills : Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
Basic Math Skills : A solid understanding of basic math and numeracy skills, with the ability to work with numbers accurately.
Learning Ability : Willingness to learn new accounting processes and systems, and a proactive approach to professional development.
Physical Requirements : Primarily office-based work with long periods of sitting at a desk. Some light lifting may be required, such as organizing documents or moving files.
Mental Requirements : Ability to focus on repetitive tasks, such as data entry, while maintaining accuracy. Must be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
