What You Will Do
- Lead the CNC Machine Shop Team: Supervise and support a team of skilled machinists, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
- Oversee Operations: Manage CNC shop workflows to ensure on-time, on-spec, and on-budget output.
- Program CNC Machines: Use CAM software to generate toolpaths and machining parameters.
- Maintain Equipment: Schedule inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure uptime and safety.
- Quote: Accurately estimate time, cost, and materials for jobs
- Collaborate & Communicate: Engage professionally with clients, vendors, and internal teams
- Drive Efficiency: Implement manufacturing strategies to reduce waste and boost productivity
- Champion Quality: Monitor output and adjust processes to uphold high standards
Required Experience
1. At a minimum, three years of team leadership experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of CNC machining techniques.
3. Skills in the use of various programs such as SolidWorks and Fusion360.
3. Experience in implementing methods to improve efficiency and productivity.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
6. Strong communication skills.
7. A solid understanding of health and safety protocols within a machining environment.
8. Proficiency in production planning and inventory management.
Qualifications in engineering or a related field are highly advantageous.
