The Patient Relations Manager ensures an exceptional patient experience by managing patient interactions, addressing concerns, and fostering a welcoming environment. This role includes overseeing patient satisfaction, improving communication processes, and supporting the administrative team in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities :
Patient Experience Management
Act as the primary point of contact for resolving patient concerns and complaints, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolutions.Oversee the patient feedback process, including collecting, analyzing, and implementing improvements based on patient surveys and reviews.Foster a positive, patient-centered culture by creating strategies to enhance overall patient satisfaction and loyalty.Communication and Coordination
Serve as a liaison between patients and the dental team, ensuring clear and effective communication regarding treatment plans, appointments, and financial responsibilities.Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to streamline patient scheduling and minimize wait times.Address escalated patient concerns and ensure they are handled professionally and empathetically.Administrative Oversight
Supervise front desk staff to ensure consistency in patient interactions and adherence to office policies.Monitor and improve patient flow and operational efficiency in collaboration with the Office ManagerMaintain accurate records of patient interactions, feedback, and resolutions in compliance with office procedures and privacy regulations.Training and Development
Provide training and ongoing support to front office staff on best practices for patient communication and customer service.Develop and implement policies and procedures to standardize patient relations practices across the office.Community Engagement
Represent the practice in community events and outreach programs to promote services and build relationships.Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance patient engagement and retention through educational materials and events.Qualifications :
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental (required).Previous management or leadership experience (preferred).Skills and Competencies
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.Proficiency in dental management software : DentrixProblem-solving skills with a proactive and patient-focused mindset.Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.Work Schedule and Environment
