About the job

Alfa Laval is looking for a curious, collaborative and self-motivated individual who have a drive towards clean technologies & sustainability enabling energy transition. The objective of this position is to develop business for Alfa Laval Energy Division's range of technology offerings for the Clean Hydrogen & Carbon Capture market in the USA. Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to promote Alfa Laval products and services

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market research, lead generation, and prospecting potential clients
  • Build a long-term relationship with key stakeholders and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to customize offerings, share opportunities & market insights, and develop market messaging to maximize Alfa Laval's potential for every opportunity.
  • Independently generate market leads aligned with our strategic objectives. Diligently screen, prioritize, and manage leads from the market and customers, transforming them into tangible business opportunities to maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Analyze market insights and customer purchasing behaviors to formulate targeted sales strategies.
  • Captures and follows through with new leads and project data within CRM software, providing business visibility and enable data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to elevate the visibility of Alfa Laval's technologies in these markets leveraging both online platforms and direct customer interactions as well as industry forums & conferences.
  • Acquires product-specific technical knowledge and application knowledge to demonstrate benefits of our solutions to the customers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

What you know :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Technical field is preferred
  • Working with the industrial equipment market in a Sales, Marketing or Business Development role for minimum of 5 years

We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The overall salary range for this role is typically $90K-$130K.
