SUMMARY
The Alfred Coffee Equipment Tech will serve as the point person to perform on-site technical service, repair, maintenance on a variety of equipment for all Los Angeles locations, provide team support for equipment, serve as a main point of contact for all technical and service related problems, in addition to any other general maintenance requests that may fall within their skill set, and assist the team in assuring highest level of customer satisfaction and drink quality.
What You’ll Do

Training – complete periodic training courses on various methods and types of repairs and equipment operations. The Equipment Tech should make an effort to thoroughly learn these skills and commit them to memory so as to perform their daily tasks to the best of their ability.

Maintenance – ensure thorough completion of all work in the proper location according to managers’ requests & company requirements, work with the Equipment Technician Lead, the Food and Beverage Director, and Cafe Managers to ensure that workload is managed correctly and efficiently, ensure clear and timely communication with team to assure highest levels of hospitality and customer service, provide timely communication and accurate and descriptive accounts of work and service orders, maintain strong workplace relationship and loyalty through professional, consistent, and reliable service.

Prevention – complete accurate inspections, service and maintenance of equipment in order to maintain equipment operation and extend equipment life, complete preventive maintenance tasks as recommended by the manufacturers, adhere to all safety rules, and maintain preventative maintenance spreadsheets.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need
- Flexibility to work a part-time schedule on-call shifts.
- Prior beverage, refrigeration, and handy-person experience; must be able to respond in a timely fashion to all issued service requests; ability to work on commercial espresso, coffee brewing, coffee grinding and water systems.
- Assist with refurbishment of equipment & basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently & organized
- Reliable form of transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend and to lift up to 50 lbs
- Arrive to work with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Good organizational skills to proactively follow up on unfinished projects and tie up any loose ends!
- Remain responsive through Slack, email, text, and phone call.
