Part-time Instructional Support Assistant - Health Information Technology
Responsibilities
- Assists faculty with new student on-boarding through Academic Advising Course.
- Creates and maintains HIT student folders and tracking forms.
- Maintain curriculum statistical and informational reports.
- Responsible for graduate and employer survey correspondence and maintaining survey results.
- Assists Health Information Technology (HIT) faculty with course updates in LMS.
- Monitor and update noncredit ExamPrep courses.
- Attends academic program and department meetings.
- Works with requesting colleges to negotiate 1 1 articulation agreements with career colleges and community colleges that do not offer such programs (to continue increasing Alfred State's HIT and CRS academic program enrollment).
- Responsible for correspondence with workforce development relationships
- Assists Program Director with annual reporting requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree in health information technology, business administration, office technology or related field.
- Experience with interacting effectively with colleagues, staff, students, and administrators.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Associate degree in health information technology from CAHIIM-accredited institution
- RHIT credential, or RHIT eligible
- Work experience in a health information management (HIM) department in a healthcare facility
- Familiarity with online learning management system
