Alfred State is seeking a passionate and driven Head Coach to take the helm of our NCAA Division III Men's Soccer program. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a competitive program while fostering the personal, academic, and athletic growth of our student-athletes. This position has a 10 month obligation, with two months off in the summertime.
Responsibilities:
As the Head Coach, you'll oversee all aspects of the Men's Soccer program, including:
- Recruitment & Talent Development: Build and develop a team of high-caliber student-athletes who excel on and off the field. Lead recruitment efforts, establish connections with prospective players, and ensure compliance with NCAA regulations.
- Game & Practice Strategy: Design and execute practice plans, game strategies, and conditioning programs in collaboration with our Strength and Conditioning and Athletic Training teams.
- Student-Athlete Experience: Create a culture of excellence that emphasizes academic success, character development, and a positive team environment. Serve as a mentor and role model to ensure a transformative college experience for all players.
- Team Leadership: Lead and inspire assistant coaches, fostering a cohesive and supportive coaching environment.
- Program Administration: Manage budgets, schedules, travel plans, and compliance requirements, ensuring the smooth operation of the program.
- Alumni & Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with alumni, host events, and engage with the community through clinics, speaking engagements, and volunteer efforts.
- Fundraising: Lead initiatives to secure financial support for the program, including summer camps and alumni contributions.
- Campus Involvement: Play an active role in college-wide events, including Homecoming, Hall of Fame celebrations, and community service projects.
Additional Duties:
- Assistance with home game management for winter and spring sports and/or teaching physical education classes.
- Additional administrative tasks assigned by the Director of Athletics.

- Master's degree.
- Head coaching experience within a NCAA Division III program.
- Fiscal management and fundraising experience.
