Alfrey & Pruitt Counseling is a fast-growing mental health practice dedicated to providing compassionate and professional care. We seek an outgoing, highly organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and ensure the smooth daily operations of our clinic.
About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a busy environment, and has strong organizational and customer service skills. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Communication & Front Desk Management
- Greet clients warmly and create a welcoming office environment.
- Handle phone calls and emails with professionalism and empathy.
- Assist clients with appointment inquiries, paperwork, and general questions.
Appointment & Office Coordination
- Schedule, reschedule, and manage client appointments.
- Coordinate with providers to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Maintain accurate client records and assist with intake procedures.
Administrative & Billing Support
- Assist with insurance verification, billing coordination, and processing payments.
- Keep track of office supplies and ensure the front desk is well-stocked and organized.
- Some light cleaning, including emptying trash receptacles, cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, steam cleaning, and dusting.
- Perform general clerical tasks, including scanning, filing, and data entry.
Team Support
- Work closely with the administrative and clinical teams to support daily operations.
- Assist in implementing office policies and procedures.

Excellent interpersonal skills – friendly, patient, and professional.
Strong organization & time management – ability to multitask in a busy setting.
Customer service experience – preferably in a healthcare or office environment. Familiarity with reception and billing coordination – experience with EHR systems or insurance verification is a plus.
Tech-savvy – proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and ability to learn new programs.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a major plus!
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (1-hour lunch break).
- No weekends.
