Job Summary: The VPBD is responsible for driving company growth by identifying, negotiating, and executing third party management contracts. This role will work closely with the executive team and involves fostering strong relationships, leading contract development from inception to execution and market analysis. The VPBD will collaborate with the entire executive team to develop competitive strategies, expand market presence, and achieve revenue targets. Successful candidates will possess strong leadership and communication skills and have relevant experience and network within the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify, analyze and procure new third-party management contracts.
- Identify, analyze and procure management company candidates for merger/acquisition.
- Cultivate strategic partnerships to result in third-party management opportunities.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with the executive team to define long-term strategic objectives and goals of business development.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
- Develop actionable strategies to position the company for sustained growth and leverage the competitive advantages.
Corporate Ambassador:
- Be the first lone of communication many times with external contacts.
- Often will be the only ALH representative present when conducting business.
- Consistently be the cultural and professional torchbearer of the ALH brand.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in hospitality business development.
- Full understanding of hotel owner role and needs with ability to instill trust and confidence.
- Full understanding of hotel operator role with ability to communicate and instill trust and confidence.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills and track record.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work within financial models and legal contracts.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Demonstrate leadership ability and a collaborative approach with cross-functional teams.
