35 Hours a week with some evening or weekend hours as needed.
FUNCTION
This position is responsible for the successful overall functioning of the Ali’s Place’s Drop-in Program by working with and supporting the Senior Director of Drop-in Programs. This includes supervising staff, responding to client crises, and coordinating daily schedules.
TOP RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Management and Support:
- Manage overall Drop-in Support Services for clients during operational hours.
- Supervise Support Services staff (including kitchen and safety teams).
- Structure and implement best practices for support service areas (welcome desk, reception and community room)
- Assist with preparing the Drop-in schedule and managing daily shift coverage to ensure consistent staffing.
Client Engagement & Support:
- Develop and refine support service protocols, optimizing operations for the welcome desk, reception, and community room.
- Uphold and enforce safety protocols, fostering a secure environment for clients, staff, and visitors.
- Respond promptly to client crises, manage conflict de-escalation, and address client grievances with appropriate follow-up
Collaboration, Communication & Partnership:
- Work with the Senior Director to develop and refine policies and protocols that enhance service delivery.
- Track and manage statistics relating to reporting requirements and submit reports to contract entities and supervisors.
- Collaborating with the Operations team to ensure adequate inventory for clients and Drop In supplies
- Collaborate with Intake and Outreach program to support new clients
- Collaborate across programs to meet the needs of clients.
- Attend weekly staff meetings, treatment meetings, and supervision.
- Collaborate with Youth Advisory Board members to support and ensure that clients are centered.
- Facilitate and lead programming to create a welcoming environment for clients
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

[ ] Undergraduate Degree
[ ] Masters Degree
High School diploma required; Undergrad degree human services related field is preferred and/or equivalent years of experience required.
TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Computer knowledge is necessary.

Must have previous supervisory experience, and be highly organized and able to work independently. Experience working with adolescent/young adult population required. Knowledge of psychosocial needs of LGBTQ/homeless population is needed. Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
