- Possesses knowledge of pastry techniques, scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating, and finishing
- Manage the production of pastries, bread and other baked goods
- Develop new seasonal recipes working with the executive chef to ensure desert complement the menu
- Try out new recipes and evaluate their success
- Attention to Detail – Small changes in a recipe can make a big difference
- Arrange food on serving dishes and is responsible for portion control and plate presentation
- Monitor ingredients, supplies, and equipment to communicate to the executive chef to order them on time
- Follow food safety guidelines
- Ensure the pastry station is clean and always sanitized
