Styling Director

Position Summary:

We're looking for a highly creative and style-savvy Styling Director with a flair for elevated concepts and a modern aesthetic. If you live and breathe storytelling through fashion, this is your moment to shine. You'll be the visionary behind our seasonal styling, from editorial to ecommerce styling, ensuring everything we touch feels fresh, thoughtful, and on point.

As the Styling Director for alice olivia, you’ll be the mastermind behind engaging narratives and polished visuals that resonate with our audience — and captivate new ones. Your aesthetic juxtaposes the whimsical and flirty with the sexy and sophisticated, and you always have your finger on the pulse of what’s next.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead brainstorming sessions and collaborate with our Founder, Creative and Marketing Teams to bring bold, season-defining looks to life.
• Own the styling of editorial shoots, seasonal look books, and ecommerce imagery that bring our vision into full focus.
• Bring your vision to life on set — travel, creativity, and serious styling chops required.
• Manage and inspire our Styling Coordinator and any freelance or agency support.
• Collaborate with the on-set photographer and Art Director to select all necessary on-model perspectives to ensure photo assets feel fresh and directional.
• Partner with cross-functional teams; Merchandising, Marketing, Design and Production to ensure a seamless execution that’s nothing short of fabulous.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements:

• 8 years of styling experience in an editorial/luxury environment
• A real sense of runway looks and what trends are happening each season.
• Strong fashion and styling sense with the ability to incorporate new fashion trends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Respond to change with a positive attitude.
• Professional communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate well with team members.
• Exceptional work ethic and organizational skills, along with a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to work off-hours, as needed.
• Motivate and inspire others to achieve their best work and to create an enriching, high performance culture
• Ability to make crucial creative decisions in a timely manner and serve as a composed and solution-oriented leader

$120,000 - $130,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NYC - based position.

The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other AO employees.)
